LED Face Mask – Omnilux

The Omnilux LED Face Mask uses red light therapy to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating collagen production, enhancing elasticity, and reducing fine lines. The red light penetrates the skin’s layers, promoting cell regeneration and healing, which can help achieve a smoother, firmer complexion over time.

How often I use it:
I’ve been using the Omnilux LED Face Mask nightly since November 2023, dedicating 10 minutes each evening to this soothing ritual. It’s become a consistent part of my evening routine

Topicals – Software Skincare Prescription

I chose Software Skincare for its personalized, prescription-strength approach, offering targeted formulas through a convenient subscription.

My current treatment plan includes Tretinoin, Azelaic Acid, and Niacinamide in a Hyaluronic Acid base, working together to refine texture, even tone, and enhance skin resilience.

• Tretinoin (0.05%): A powerful vitamin A derivative that promotes cell turnover, boosts collagen, and smooths fine lines. I use this on alternate nights to support a brighter, more refined complexion.

• Azelaic Acid (20%): Known for reducing redness, balancing skin tone, and addressing blemishes. I alternate it with Tretinoin but pull back if my skin feels sensitive, as it can occasionally cause peeling.

• Niacinamide (5%): This multitasking ingredient is included in both formulas to soothe, hydrate, and strengthen the skin barrier.

How I use it:

I alternate between Tretinoin and Azelaic Acid at night, depending on how my skin is feeling. This flexibility helps me stay attuned to my skin’s needs. I have been using Software since 2022.

10-Minute Full-Face Massage –

Inspired by Anastasia Beauty Fascia

What it does for the skin:
This 10-minute massage has become one of my favorite rituals for both relaxation and skin health. Demonstrated by Anastasia of Anastasia Beauty Fascia, this technique focuses on releasing tension and improving fascia health, which supports the integrity of the facial structure and enhances overall skin vitality. The massage promotes circulation, encourages lymphatic drainage, and helps sculpt the face over time.

How often I use it:
I’ve been practicing this massage most evenings since September 2024. It’s a simple, accessible routine that I’ve grown to love as part of my nightly wind-down.

Why I love Anastasia’s approach:
Anastasia is incredibly knowledgeable about fascia and the connection between posture, structural integrity, and skin health. Her account is a wealth of information, and her expertise inspires me to explore how these techniques can support natural beauty. She even offers a course I’m considering to deepen my understanding of fascia care.

Where to find the massage:
You can find Anastasia’s 10-minute full-face massage demonstration on her Instagram account. It’s a free highlight available to everyone, and I highly recommend checking it out. Follow her here

Derma rolling

What it does for the skin:
Derma rolling, or microneedling, is a simple yet effective technique that uses a shallow needle roller to create microchannels in the skin. These tiny punctures stimulate collagen production, enhance product absorption, and improve overall skin texture and tone. It’s a gentle way to boost your skin’s natural renewal process, leaving it smoother and more vibrant over time.

How often I use it:
I incorporate derma rolling into my routine about three times a week, using the shallowest needle size available (0.25mm). This depth is perfect for surface-level benefits without causing irritation, making it an accessible and gentle addition to my skincare rituals.

Why I love it:
Derma rolling is one of those techniques that feels both efficient and rewarding. In just a few minutes, it helps amplify the effects of my skincare products while giving my skin an overall refreshed look. It’s become a consistent part of my weekly routine

Gua Sha

What it does for the skin:
Gua Sha is a traditional technique that uses a smooth stone tool to gently massage the face, promoting lymphatic drainage, reducing puffiness, and boosting circulation. It’s an excellent way to relieve tension and bring a refreshed, sculpted look to the skin, especially on mornings when your face feels a little puffy or tired.

How often I use it:
While I’m not the most consistent with Gua Sha, I turn to it when I need a little extra care—usually on mornings when puffiness calls for a gentle reset. It’s a flexible ritual I enjoy as needed, with a few favourite YouTube demonstrations to guide me.

Why I love it:
Gua Sha feels like a quick pick-me-up for my skin Whether I’m looking to depuff or simply enjoy a relaxing moment, this technique always leaves me feeling refreshed
